QHC Endoscopy Suite
The design of the Endoscopy Suite at Queens Hospital Center was driven by the limited space available in this busy metropolitan hospital. Emphasis was given to the carving out of usable area for the suite while providing "give back" office space to the surrounding departments. The patient experience was thoughtfully considered as well as functionality maintaining control by a centrally located nurses station. Waiting, recovery, procedure and support spaces are all in close interaction with this control point, while patient flow is maximized. Natural materials and soothing colors are the driving interior design concepts.
