Michael D'Innocenzi founded MDM Architecture LLC in the summer of 2006. The creation of the firm was the culmination of all the experiences and knowledge derived from working as a licensed professional architect for 24 years.
After graduating from the New Jersey Institute of Technology with a Bachelors of Architecture in 1980, Michael set out to gain experience in the design of many types of projects including residential, commercial, institutional, and healthcare facilities with firms including The Grad Partnership and Houghton, Quarty, Warr Architects.
After becoming licensed, Michael continued the pursuit of experience by joining Ellerbe Becket's NYC office. While at Ellerbe, Michael was the Project Architect and Project Manager on the MTA Rail Control Center Project, a $100,000,000 facility critical to New York City's future. As Ellerbe Becket closed down their New York office Michael was given the unique responsibility of seeing this large and critical project for NYC through both design and construction. Michael viewed this responsibility as an opportunity to hone his skills on the design, technical and management aspects of the successful delivery of a major urban project. While at Ellerbe, Michael also began gaining experience in Healthcare projects such as the New York Psychiatric Institute, SUNY Binghamton's School of Nursing and Lawrence Hospital's Congestive Heart Failure Suite.
In 2002, Michael took a position at Hillier Architecture's New York Office. As the Director of Healthcare, and building on the healthcare experience that Michael first gained at Ellerbe Becket, Michael helped Hillier's New York Healthcare practice compete among the major NYC healthcare firms.
The formation of MDM Architecture LLC was the next natural step in the progression of Michael's career, as he strives with his team to provide the finest professional service and deliver state-of-the-art Architectural design.
